Where Indie-Rock Meets Twang Pop

My earliest memories are of music. I was born into a family that LOVED music. There was always music playing somewhere in the house. AM radio in the kitchen. Stereos in the bedrooms. Upright piano in the living room. There was even an 8-track tape player hooked up to the light switch in the basement.  Every time you went down there, Tom Jones Live, Guys and Dolls or West Side Story began playing...Mom was in charge of the 8-track.  If there wasn't any music playing, you could always catch my dad singing to my mom in the kitchen, dancing while they cooked dinner.

I can remember my sister putting me to bed every night listening to a Beatles record...set to repeat over and over.  I would fight to stay awake to listen to the music as much as I could. By age three I was hooked.  At age 10 my brother taught me how to play guitar. I bought my first one at age 12. I started my first band at 13. I wrote my first song at 14. It's been a long interesting ride ever since.
